QUESTIONS?

Below you can find answers to commonly asked questions, if you cannot find an answer to your question please let us know via our contact form

General Matters

1. What do you do?

Often called "PSD to XHTML", we convert your designs into web standards compliant XHTML and CSS.

2. Who are you?

We are all professional coders who once worked for prestigious web design studios. After years of honing our skills in XHTML and CSS, we decided to strike out on our own – using our years of experience to help designers convert their work into streamlined and attractive markup.

3. What hours do you keep?

Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday. However, if you have an urgent deadline, talk to us. We’ll find a way to accommodate even the shortest timeframes.

4. How long will it take?

It takes us approximately 3 business days to deliver completed templates. (Project size and complexity will affect turnaround time.) As soon as your order comes in, we carefully go over your designs and provide you with an exact delivery time. Be sure to tell us if you’ve got a tight deadline and need the job done faster.

5. How can I contact you?

We recommend you use our contact form but would be happy to IM with you if you prefer. Just send us your information, and we’ll get in touch.

6. What do you need from me to get started?

Send us all of your source files (PSD files) as well as your requirement details. We’ll also need the files for any special fonts you used. It is also helpful for guideline purposes, if you provide us with the flattened images (JPG/PNG files) showing all crucial layers (e.g. flyout menu, hovers, select states).

7. Do you also design?

Yes, you can also hire us to create high quality design work for you. Simply tell us your requirements when you fill out our contact form.

Coding Issues

1. Which file formats do you require?

PSD (Photoshop), AI (Illustrator) or PNG (Fireworks) file formats are the easiest for us to work with and guaranteed to produce the best results. We can also accept flattened PNG or JPG files if your design is simple and layer separation is not needed.

2. How cross-browser compatible is your work?

All of our XHTML and CSS templates have been tested to ensure that they work properly and display correctly on the following browsers: Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8, Opera 10, Safari and Google Chrome. We also strive to keep them as close to your design as possible. Please let us know if you would like our markup tested on older browsers as well.

3. Do I need to specify where in my design I want Flash, AjAX, sIFR and other expandable elements?

The more information you give us, the better we can provide you with the code you need. So don’t hold back – tell us all the ins and outs of how you see your design functioning and what elements you’d like to use and we’ll work to bring it to life.

4. How about JavaScript implementation?

Our normal rate already includes some basic JavaScript implementation, but if you’d like to include more advanced implementation, let us know and we’ll discuss the costs.

5. Can you provide sIFR implementation?

Sure. Just give us the fonts you want and tell us exactly where you want the sIFR implementation.

6. Are you able to embed Flash files?

Not a problem. We’ll add Flash pieces to your XHTML and CSS templates using only the correct W3C techniques.

7. Can you provide open source CMS/Blog integration?

Sorry! Currently we do not.

Billing And Payment Questions

1. What forms of payment do you accept?

We prefer payment via PayPal. PayPal gives you the option of using your credit or debit card and delivers payment to us much faster than any other form. That means we can get moving on your project much sooner. Bank transfers are also fine but not recommended if you’re in a rush.

2. Which currency are your prices in?

Our prices are in US dollars.

3. When is payment due?

Complete payment up front is preferred, but we’ll accept a 50% deposit to start working. The remainder would be due upon project completion.

4. What if I’m not satisfied with the finished product?

We’ll do as many revisions as needed to meet the requirements of your original design, and fulfill the implementation strategy initially agreed upon. If you want to make changes to the content, or adjust the implementation strategy, that will be considered supplemental work and will receive a new quote.

Confidentiality

1. Can we keep our business together private?

Of course we can. We’ll keep it as private as you like, including signing an NDA if requested. Though we’d love to be able to add your project to our portfolio, we’ll be sure to ask your permission first.

2. Do you include any "signs" in your coding that mentions CSS Reaper?

We do, but if you don’t want it, we’ll be sure to leave it out.

3. Can you guarantee that my designs won’t be seen before I publish them?

No worries. None of the materials you’ve provided us will be seen by anyone else.

4. Who holds the ownership and rights?

You become the owner of all templates as soon as the job is complete and full payment has been made. This includes XHTML, CSS, images, Flash, JavaScript etc.
